Thank you all for your comments. The significance of this image is its location. It is the farthest point southwest of the continental US. The islands in the back ground are Los Islos Coronados, Mexico. This is a great spot to visit for wild life, marine life in tidal pools. and the proverbial brown pellcans who often drive past beneath the cliffs searching for schooling fish. Down the road adjacent to the entry to this park is another, Cabrillo NP and monument. It is hard to take it all in injust one day. The Point Loma Seafood company by the bay down the road is a must if you are on a Sea Food diet like me.
