Description
Found resting showing the scars of a recent encounter with another herd stallion the white stallion horse stood close by a grey mare. This pair allowed me to walk around close to them using a whispering technique I have used to approach my arab mares in the field. My friend, Mark, photographed them from slightly farther distance somewhat amazed, as I was to be able to get as close as I did without causing them to bolt or become alarmed enough to flee. After making a series of picture I departed using the same movement and technique leaving them to browse on the sage and grass. This chance encounter took place during a photographic survey prior to the Great American Horse drive.
