Description
The weather never ceases to amaze me. The wet precipitation of late summer has given way to snow, and the last blast was not a dusting. We had a substantial dumping of 18 inches of wet snow on the early morning hours of October 4th. Large limbs were knocked down everywhere, especially in old town Steamboat Springs by unusually heavy snow. Higher elevations were spared devastation by lighter but larger accumulations. This picture was made in the late morning near Mt Werner at the 7000 elevation. The result was a beautiful yet somewhat surreal setting.

Early snow with nicely colored fall foliage! I am very pleased to make this special FEATURE, on our homepage of the Wisconsin Flowers and Scenery Homepage. It is of the highest quality and integrity and this piece of artwork is very well deserving of high accolades by all members of FAA! Thank you, Carolyn. Except for all the broken leaves down town it was very pretty.
